Adding Google Authorship to your website

This is the post excerpt for this post (post title is h1, post excerpt is h2)

Table of Contents
  1. Introduction
  2. Theme Support

You need a theme that enables “Google Authorship” and you need to have your author byline marked up correctly. ClickBump 5.6 now includes this feature to do it for you.

You can now enable an “Author Byline” and/or Author Bio Box on your post articles. To enable this option go to “ClickBump > Social > Author Box”.

You can customize your profile including:

1) Your Author Byline (By: John Doe)

2) Your Author URL – This can be a link to your Google author’s page, your inner blog page, your facebook page, or a list of your most popular articles. You enter this URL inside your blog at “Users > Your Profile > Contact Info > Website

3) Your Biographical Info – Enter this at “Users > Your Profile > About Yourself > Biographical Info“.

4) Your Gravatar Photo – Go to gravatar.com to upload an avatar. Your Gravatar must be linked to the email address used in the users profile or you will get the default blank avatar. Enter the email address you use on Gravatar.com at “Users > Contact Info > Email“. Your email address will not appear on the site, its just used to pull your gravatar photo.

I’m using this technique on this blog post as you can see from the author box below….
